Trans Student Educational Resources

Is a youth-led organization dedicated to transforming the educational environment for trans and gender nonconforming students through advocacy and empowerment. They focus on creating a more trans-friendly education system, with a mission to educate the public and teach trans activists how to be effective organizers. They believe that justice for trans and gender nonconforming youth is contingent on an intersectional framework of activism.

Black Girls Code

Dedicated to teaching girls ages 7-17 about computer programming and digital technology. To empower and mentor young women of color by highlighting the achievement of women in technology and thereby encourage them to embrace the current tech marketplace as builders and content creators.

Immigrant Defense Project

Promotes fundamental fairness for immigrants accused or convicted of crimes. They seek to minimize the harsh and disproportionate immigration consequences of contact with the criminal justice system by 1) working to transform unjust deportation laws and policies through impact litigation and advocacy; and 2) educating and advising immigrants, their criminal defenders, and other advocates.

Easterseals

Provides community-based services for people with disabilities, caregivers, veterans and their families. There mission is to change the way the world defines and views disability by making profound, positive differences in people’s lives every day.

FEMALE COLLECTIVE teamed up with HRDWRKER and LADYGUNN for #LAYERS, which is video series that highlights 3 women as they explore their identity through the medium of makeup. Today we present Los Angeles beauty Ashleeta, a pin-up and burlesque wonder who discusses her personal connection to the art of makeup and how it allows her to enhance her true self.
